Dear UP Homeowners and Residents,
The University Park Recreation District (UPRD) Board of Supervisors 2025 election has officially concluded. Thank you to all who participated in this important process.
The tabulation of votes was conducted by an independent accounting firm, ensuring accuracy and impartiality. As announced at the Special Board of Supervisors Meeting held at 5:30 PM EST, the certified final results are as follows:
Total number of ballots distributed: 2,616
Totals ballots received and accounted for: 1,430
I extend my sincere appreciation to District Management, the Volunteer 2025 Election Group, all candidates, and all voters for their time, dedication, and participation in this election. Your engagement is invaluable to the continued success of our community and the future of UPRD.

Continue readingAt today’s emergency board meeting (October 16, 1:30 PM), held just before the scheduled Board workshop, the board unanimously approved Resolution 2025-02, the Renewal of the Golf Cart Fleet Lease. This means a fresh fleet of golf carts is on its way, expected to arrive by October 31st!

The candidate nomination process has been completed for the election to fill three positions on the University Park Recreation District (UPRD) Board of Supervisors. The UPRD Board Election is scheduled for February 18, 2025, with a mailing of ballots and proxies on January 15, 2025.
In alphabetical order by last name, the six candidates are:
Each candidate has prepared an experience profile that is available on the UPRD Website.
Three candidate forums will be held to provide the opportunity for lot owners and residents to hear from the registered candidates as they present their background experience, acquired relevant skills, and views on the challenges facing UPRD. These open in-person forums (there will not be any Zoom call type coverage) will also enable interested residents of University Park to engage in thoughtful question-and-answer exchanges and dialogue on related matters of interest. The candidate forums will be held in the Lakeside Room located in the building of The Park Grille.
The forums will be held in person at the Lakeside Room on the following dates and times:
An outline describing the forum format as well as guidelines for the participation of both the candidates and UP residents attending the forums has been prepared by the Election Chair/Committee to assist and support a fair, constructive, and informative forum process. This Guideline for Candidate Forums will be circulated to all residents in UP by the end of December via both the club email and the UPRD email.
